Mortgages

For many residential purchases, mortgages are part of what is covered in the normal conveyancing work. However,we can also advise specifically on mortgaging or re-mortgaging property you already own, including second mortgages and private mortgages.

We can also advise on equity release mortgages, where these are chosen by clients on the basis of advice from an appropriately qualified independent financial advisor.

Transfers of equity

A "transfer of equity" is where a home is transferred from the name of a single owner into joint names, or vice versa. We can advise on all such situations, including transactions in connection with divorce, gifts of shares in property to family members, and transfers between couples.

Other residential property work

You may wish to sell part of your garden, or need to draw up a deed to cover use of a shared facility such as a drain. Whatever the situation, we can advise on all relevant issues and help you find the most practical and cost effective solution.
